Bethany & Brett were married on March 3, 2018. They hired me as their wedding DJ and I took photos of for them at their reception. Their reception was held at DGBEK Studios in Orlando, Florida. It’s a dance studio that specializes in hip hop culture, including breakdancing, DJing, and graffiti. It was my first time there. I wish I could take some breakdance classes there, but there doesn’t seem to be enough time. Nevertheless, it was nice finding out about the place so I can at least attempt to get there and get my dance on.
I didn’t attend the ceremony but was glad to be their DJ for the reception. Brett works with an Audio/Visual company so he supplied some extra speakers and uplights. They were originally going to only hire me to MC the wedding, but I told them I’d DJ it too for a little more cash. It works better that way. Even if you have all the equipment and music you need it’s nice to have someone mix the music, blending two songs when going from one song to the next. It keeps the music going, which keeps people on the dance floor. As I often do nowadays, I took a few photos for them when I had the chance. Continue reading
