For whatever reason, if you decide you do not want to toss your bouquet at your wedding, we have a few alternatives for you. Continue reading

If you’re planning a wedding you may be shopping around for wedding DJs and wondering why wedding DJs cost so much. Well, there are lots of reasons, most of which are easy to overlook for someone who isn’t in the business of DJing weddings. First, let’s look at this major misconception. Continue reading
Why I Am A Wedding DJ
When I tell people what I do, I often get the question, “why are you a wedding DJ?” And when they do, I’m glad they asked!
The #1 Reason I’m a Wedding DJ
Why Having A Wireless Handheld Mic AND A Lav Mic Is Essential For Wedding DJs
Let me be honest: In my humble beginnings I started DJing with only a wired mic, as I’m sure most DJs do. I didn’t start off DJing weddings, so for a long time a wired mic was all I needed. But after being a wedding DJ for years, I now know the importance in having two different types of wireless mics:
- Handheld
- Lavalier (Lav)
Our Premium DJ Booth Setup With Facade & LEDs
In this short video I’m going to show you my premium DJ booth that comes with my gold package. This is a front view of our DJ booth with a façade that’s lit up with LEDs. Here you have a view from the back side. This is the DJ controller I use, the Numark NS6. And here you can see more of the setup. Take note of the second laptop on the bottom. It’s important that DJs have back up equipment, especially for things that are essential to make the music play. Therefore, I bring a backup laptop, mixer, cables, and as you see in here, two microphones.
Of course, that’s not all I bring. I use an external hard drive that has about 500 GB of music on it, with music from all genres starting from the 1930s to the most up to date hits of today. Below you’ll find an equipment list for my DJ setup: Continue reading
Wedding Reception Introductions Example
Think a wedding DJ is just supposed to play music? Almost nothing could be further from the truth! A wedding DJ plays a much bigger role than merely playing music. An ipod with a playlist can play music but there are lots of other reasons why you should hire a professional wedding DJ. A DJ mixes the music, helps the wedding couple select music beforehand in order to prepare for the wedding to ensure it goes just how they want it, and the DJ also acts as the master of ceremonies (MC). As the MC, the DJ conducts all the events that take place on your wedding day. The DJ/MC will communicate with the crowd so they know what to do, what not to do, and what to expect. When the wedding party is done with their photos after the ceremony and are ready to make their grand entrance in to the reception, the DJ traditionally announces the wedding party as they walk in. This moment is arguably the most important moment for the DJ to perform at his/her best. Continue reading
Why You Should Have An Unplugged Wedding?
Your wedding day is a one-time event that you can never get back once it’s gone. While some wedding couples encourage their friends and family to capture as many moments as they can, others prefer to have an “unplugged wedding” where they ask their guests to turn off their phones for their big day. From many photographers’ perspective, there is almost nothing worse than a good shot being ruined by well-intentioned guests getting in the way with their camera phones. Continue reading

Looking for a wedding DJ? Think any good DJ will do? If you’ve answered “yes” to both of these questions, this blog post is for you!
