Want the best deal on a wedding video?
We have an option! Before I get too far into telling you about how to get a wedding video made for as cheap as possible, I need to preface this post by saying I only recommend taking this route as a last resort. Since I am passionate about wedding videography and believe every person should have the opportunity to have a wedding video, regardless of their financial situation, I sometimes offer a special deal to those who cannot afford our traditional packages. If you don’t have enough money in the budget for a wedding video and are planning on going without one, this is a good option. Continue reading
What Type of Equipment Do We Use?
One of the most common questions we get asked as photographers and videographers is “what type of equipment do you use?” It’s a good question and I can certainly understand why clients ask. Though the artist (photographer/videographer) is more important than the tool (camera + lens), there’s no doubt about equipment making a difference in quality. Not only will high quality equipment make the end-product look better, but it’s also a sign of professionalism. While a good camera doesn’t equate to a good photographer, and a bad camera doesn’t equate to a bad photographer, the quality of equipment used gives you a good idea of the level of professionalism you can expect from them. Instead of just listing our equipment here, we also made a video showing you some of the equipment we use so you can actually see it with your own eyes. Continue reading
Planning an event can be a daunting task, especially weddings! That’s why there are entire career fields for event planning and specifically wedding planning. With weddings there are so many things to plan. You have to pick out a dress, rings, venue, cake, and many different vendors. Each decision is important to the success of your wedding. While this process can, and should, be fun and exciting, it can also be stressful. Choosing one vendor that offers several services can make your life easier.
Hiring a company to handle three services is like killing three birds with one stone, so to speak (why anyone would want to kill three birds is beyond me, but that’s another story). While having one company provide several services can be convenient, it doesn’t come without its caveats. If the company does a poor job, it may do poorly in more than one areas. But if you choose the company wisely and they do well then they’ll do well with every service hired them for. There are many reasons why it may be to your advantage to hire one company to provide several services. Though I can’t speak for how other companies run their business, I can tell you that there are two main benefits you get when hiring us for more than one service:
- Save Money By Bundling Services Together
- Better Teamwork
Why You Need A DJ For Your Wedding
When it comes to a wedding, the DJ plays a very important role in many ways. We get the party started by playing the right songs at the right time and keeping everyone dancing. A professional DJ can make sure the entire reception runs smoothly. From the toasts, cake cutting, special dances, and everything else–we’ll help you stay organized and ensure you and your guests have the time of your life. We provide professional entertainment at prices so affordable there’s no reason not to have a professional DJ for your wedding.
Your wedding is one of the most important days of your life. Not only do you need a good DJ, you need a good DJ with wedding experience. DJing a wedding is much different than any other event. An experienced club DJ can fail miserably when DJing their first wedding. Weddings usually have very mixed crowds, so the DJ will have to play music that appeals to all ages. The DJ plays music for two families on a special day for everyone, which is different from playing pop music at a club. Since every wedding is unique, the music should be too. There’s also a traditional format that weddings follow. Simply showing up and playing music is not enough. Continue reading
Weddings are one of the most important events of people’s lives. It’s truly a special day filled with joy, family, and sometimes frustration. After all, weddings are big events to put on. Not just because of the sentimental value, because of all the work. It’s a lot of work for us as a company and we’re only one part of the team involved in creating a successful wedding. Between choosing your wedding venue, to picking out other vendors, and all of the other things that need to be done, a lot of work and responsibility often falls on the bride. Here
There’s a lot to do leading up to the wedding day and a lot happens on the wedding day. With so much riding on wedding day itself, it’s easy to overlook some small, but very important, things. Luckily, I’m going to share my top 3 tips for brides on their wedding day! For this post’s sake, we’re just going to focus on my area of experience and expertise. Otherwise, my top tips for brides might be something like “choose the right person to marry.” And that’s a conversation for a different blog. Here’s our top 3 tips for brides:
We are excited to start a blog as a new way to communicate with other people in the industry, both potential clients and other vendors. Our goal with this blog is to enhance our client relationships and the entire industry overall. While we may not post a high quantity of posts, we will focus on high quality posts because we know your time is valuable too. Hopefully we get a lot of interaction, questions, and comments on this blog. So feel free to get involved as much as you’d like. If you’re a potential client thinking about booking us, hopefully this blog will give you a better idea of what we do and how we do it. If you’re another vendor in the industry, maybe you’ll learn a tip or two or maybe you have some experience you can share that we can benefit from too. Either way, it’s good to have more information about our industry so that we can all put on the best events we can.
It’s hard to get a good feel for how an entertainment company is by just reading a little bit on their site. Our goal is to combine this blog with the rest of our website, plus our videos on youtube, and our photos on Flickr to give a multi-media approach to getting to know us before hiring us. Of the different platforms we use for public relations, this blog is particularly useful for clients after they’ve hired us. That’s because we’ll be sharing information about how we shoot, how to work better together, and many other tips that are useful to know no matter who you hire.
