Why You Need A DJ For Your Wedding
When it comes to a wedding, the DJ plays a very important role in many ways. We get the party started by playing the right songs at the right time and keeping everyone dancing. A professional DJ can make sure the entire reception runs smoothly. From the toasts, cake cutting, special dances, and everything else–we’ll help you stay organized and ensure you and your guests have the time of your life. We provide professional entertainment at prices so affordable there’s no reason not to have a professional DJ for your wedding.
Your wedding is one of the most important days of your life. Not only do you need a good DJ, you need a good DJ with wedding experience. DJing a wedding is much different than any other event. An experienced club DJ can fail miserably when DJing their first wedding. Weddings usually have very mixed crowds, so the DJ will have to play music that appeals to all ages. The DJ plays music for two families on a special day for everyone, which is different from playing pop music at a club. Since every wedding is unique, the music should be too. There’s also a traditional format that weddings follow. Simply showing up and playing music is not enough.
Upon hiring us as your wedding DJ company, we work with you to create a wedding plan that outlines the order of events and what music you’d like played during each part. That way it goes just how you want it too. We’re able to give you tips and suggestions to help make sure your wedding goes the best it can. During your wedding we make sure that if the mood changes or the program needs to change last minute, your reception will still go off without a hitch.
The DJ’s Job
The DJ’s job is to keep the music going by mixing the two songs together to transition from one song to the next. Without a DJ, the music would stop in between songs. This subtle difference makes a huge difference to the party. People often stop dancing when the song is over but if the DJ is mixing then the songs blend together and form one long continuous song, which makes people stay on the dance floor longer. Basically, we do a lot more than just play music. Check out this article that lays out 9 reasons why not to hire an amateur wedding DJ.
More Than Just a DJ
Besides DJ service, you also need a master of ceremonies (MC) to handle the microphone. Otherwise, who is going to prompt the bridal party and guests at your reception? Do you have someone in charge of the program? If you don’t have a wedding planner, you don’t want to be running things while you’re trying to enjoy your wedding day. Even if you do have a wedding planner, how are they going to talk to the entire crowd over loud music? The MC’s job is to conduct the wedding by speaking to the audience, a skill very different from DJing. All of our DJ packages include MC services with them, so our DJs will direct the crowd and make all the necessary announcements during each portion of the day.
Besides mixing the music and MCing, the DJ also brings the lighting. We have high quality uplights and dance floor lighting light you’d see picture in a dance club. We also offer discounts for bundling more than one of our services together, so you can bundle your DJ services with photography and/or videography and get better service with even bigger savings.
