Though we already provide great value by offfering a top-notch service with very competitive rates, we strive to go above and beyond for every client so we can exceed their expectations. One of the ways we do that is by taking photos for our blog, which means free wedding photos for you!
This works out really well for wedding couples that don’t hire their photographer to cover their entire wedding. It happens quite often actually. Usually do to budget restraints. When this happens, I almost always try to finish all of the formal events before the photographer leaves. That means that we have to cram in the formal events, often times without taking a break and opening up the dance floor in between the formal events. Cramming the events together can make things seem rushed and it makes the people who want to dance have to wait until the end of the night. Some guests may end up leaving before the dance floor opens up to everyone, especially the older guests and particularly at weddings that end later in the night. Making things even worse, weddings notoriously run late so if the wedding is running late and we have to cram everything in before the photographer leaves it may seem more like a drill than a special occassion.
For example, the photographer left early at this wedding at Paradise Cove and if it weren’t for me taking photos they wouldn’t have any photos of them all dancing on the dance floor together.
I was able to get some great shots at the end of this wedding at the Grand Oaks Resort after their photographer left too (below).
Another good example is when I caught these two moments below while I was playing music for the recessional at a wedding at 3M Ranch. I just happened to be in the right place because of where I was set up during the ceremony. The bride and groom passionately hugged each other for a long time. Because the photographer was still shooting the recessional he was unable to catch it, but I did.
The photo below was taken shortly after the ceremony. The bride was hugging someone while the groom was shaking hands with her dad. It just so happened that everyone stood lined up around them, almost as if they were setting up for my photo. I just happened to be at the right distance, and at the right angle, to capture this moment for them.
The Crystal Ballroom is a beautiful venue that offers photography packages that only cover a small portion of the wedding day. I DJ’d a wedding at the Crystal Ballroom in Altamonte Springs and the photographer left very early in the day. If I wouldn’t have taken the photos below, the bride and groom wouldn’t have any professional photos of them dancing with their guests, the bouquet toss, or the garter removal.
Even though I had a wireless mic in my hand and gave the announcement for the bouquet toss, I still was able to catch the shot of her catching the bouquet.
And the bride even got a photo of the lucky lady who caught the bouquet.
I wouldn’t want to go without photos of the garter removal. Luckily, they didn’t.
